Mid-August SF Tier List

August Tier List: Ranked and Conquest Decks

Disruption. Destruction. Discard. Oh Snap!

Marvel Snap has not only been "Big in Japan" in August but has also been big in creating a distinctive meta that allows players flexibility and creativity in deck building. This creativity and flexibility have not only brought new meta decks but also resurrected previous meta decks to prominence in August.

From the OTA changes to card updates during the patch, most changes made to cards have been impactful in terms of gameplay or at the very least brought quality of life to the card. As much as things change, some things stay the same. Sunspot (#20) has made his way back into the Top 20 in Seen %, and Sauron is back as one of the best cards when played (#7), drawn (#1), and in deck (#1) when capturing the victory.

Sunspot

End of Turn: Gain +1 Power for each unspent Energy.

Sauron

On Reveal: Remove the abilities from all Ongoing cards in your deck.

While we are on the subject of winning, does consistency and/or extending the game make it more or less probable? Every Marvel Snap player has different opinions on the effectiveness of Magik and American Chavez and what type of value each respected card brings, so I would love to hear your thoughts down below on both cards and your experience.

Magik

On Reveal: Replace this location with 'Limbo'. Doesn't work after turn 5.

America Chavez

On Reveal: Give the top card of your deck +3 Power.

Anyway, back to the tier list. As you’ll find below, I have broken down the meta decks into a few different categories and then provided an overall tier list. You will see a Win % tier list for Ranked as well as for Conquest, along with an average cube rate tier list for Ranked. These tier lists will be compiled into an overall tier list to rank the decks from S tier to C tier. I can’t wait to read your comments below, and have a BEWDiful Day!

Tier List Establishment Breakdown

Tier List Qualifications

-Must have a minimum of 1% meta share of the seen percentage in CL 3000+.

-Must have a positive cube rate from our Snap.fan Tracker results.

Tier Breakdown

S-Tier: These decks are the top performers in the scope of the meta. They had the best overall matchups, cube rate, and climb percentage at the time of the tier list release.

A-Tier: These decks are consistent and solid performers in the scope of the meta. They have consistently good matchups and will overall permit a steady climb up the ladder. They may not be the top decks for consistency in wins, but they will still overall net a positive cube gain.

B-Tier: These decks lean more toward a representation of challenge. They end up averaging close to zero overall cube gain due to a mix of higher skill and higher opportunity chance while playing them. This results in a mix of decks that are ‘fun’ and surprising. However, they may not be ideal for climbing the ladder within the scope of the meta.

C-Tier: These decks are off-meta underperformers compared to those decks in the S, A, and B tiers. They have poorer matchups and, as a result, lead to a negative average cube gain. While their presence in the meta is relevant, their consistency is not.
