What lies in the Cosmos?
Welcome beautiful Snappers! another round of crazy locations coming up on Snap during this heralding season. We got some amount of controlled chaos in Zenn-La that we can prepare for and a HUGE METRIC TON OF UNFORESEEABLE CHAOS THAT WE CAN ONLY BRACE OURSELVES FOR. Let’s talk about it shall we?
The Seventh Cosmos - August 13th
This might be my favorite location ever! I love chaos, I love trying to tame it and come up with answers on the fly for each and every game due to unique crazy stuff happening. Seventh Cosmos is like starting a brand new match of Marvel Snap while you’re already playing a match of Marvel Snap. Every location changes and suddenly you’re in a very different game and the only options left is adapting to those new locations or getting swept by the winds of change. Ok I’ll stop gushing about the location.
Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing I can suggest for you to play during this Hot Location. There is no way to predict what’s going to happen and there is no point in trying to scam the randomness in your favor. Any deck that is already winning should still be winning a lot with Seventh Cosmos on parade. So, all I can do is wish you the very best of luck!
Zenn-La - August 27th
The Silver Surfer’s homeworld! When revealed, Zenn-La will reach out into your deck and whip out a 3-Cost card from there for free. This location has two distinct benefits that you can absolutely use in your favor. Not only will it thin your deck, it will also cheat out a 3-Costed card from your deck at no cost, allowing you to spend your energy on something else on that turn.
Since it pulls a 3-Cost card, you’ll need to deckbuild considering this as a normal occurrence. What cards should we consider playing during this fateful day?
You might be screaming at your computer telling me that Surfer decks will be awesome but there will be a chance that Zenn-La will force your Silver Surfer to return home before you had the time to play any other 3 drops so that could always backfire. But I wager the risk might be worth taking because the chance wouldn’t be that high considering all the three drops we will have on deck. It might be similar to playing Gambit with Hela on hand.
We could run a deck with an impactful and often vital 3-Costed card for an archetype. Magik is one of the most important cards to greedy decks and having her for free on the board would be incredible. We could take advantage of that by playing a modified Tribunal or Negative deck that doesn’t run Mystique in order to not get her pulled onto the field. Or we could just flip a coin and take the chances.
The nasty trio of Storm, War Machine and Legion is so hated for a reason. If you’re always getting Storm on the field for free, you’ll only need two other cards to complete the evil trinity that locks your opponent out of the game.
Boy I hate this card so much it’s unreal. Invisible Woman First Steps not only created a brand new archetype out of thin air but made it a top contender for best deck right now. If you can forgo running Prodigy, I believe that her deck would be insane during Zenn-La’s day because you’ll almost always have your key card on the field in every match.
There is a reason why Grand Arena didn’t feature Surtur as a champion. It would be so hard to win against this guy if he always started in your hand. Now imagine he is played for free for you every other game? To elevate the fun factor, you could run Nightmare with him as well to have such crazy unpredictable games.
Now let me slide you some awesome decks, free of charge like your three drops.
